The Men’s Group Mooloolaba – MGM is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous open to all male members suffering from alcoholism. We are an active structured group with a singleness of purpose, carrying the message to the suffering alcoholic. It is founded on the principle of one alcoholic sharing with another alcoholic.

Saturday 11th November 2017 members of the MGM group conducted a group visit to the Noosa Saturday Night Topic Meeting 1st Anniversary. 3 Car loads the birthday meeting and enjoyed a great meeting. Wednesday 18th October 2017 members of the MGM group conducted a group visit to the Valley Men’s Group 20th Anniversary. 3 Car loads the birthday meeting and enjoyed pizza before the meeting and a great meeting afterwards. Sunday 17th September 2017 the MGM conducted our monthly group visit to the Maroochydore 5.00 Topic meeting. Sunday 27th Aug 2017 the MGM conducted our monthly group visit to the Glass House Mountains Sunday Night 6.30pm discussion meeting. 3 home group members attended that meeting and it was a great chance to share and participate in the meeting. Sunday 18th June 2017 the MGM conducted our monthly group visit to the Sunday Night Pomona 6.30pm meeting, an open ID group. 4 home group members attended that meeting and it was a great chance to share and participate in the meeting. The old saying of those who get around stay around is certainly true for the members that made the effort. Another fantastic example of sharing in the fellowship of the spirit in action. Saturday 27th May 2017 the MGM conducted our monthly group visit to the Saturday 5:30pm Noosaville Topic meeting. 4 home group members attended that meeting and it was a great chance to share with the Noosa group the information about our upcoming SCAA Roundup fundraiser with Bob D. Tickets were sold to enthusiastic members of the group and a great night was had by all. Following the meeting the Noosa group members together with the MGM members proceeded out for some fellowship over dinner. Thanks to all the members that made the effort. Monday 10th April 2017 members of the MGM group conducted a group visit to the Monday night – Bowen Hills Young Peoples Meeting. 7 home group members attended the meeting. The Bowen Hills group very much appreciated our visit with members regularly making the trip up the coast to attend our MGM group. Several members were apologies due to AA commitments in Melbourne. Saturday 8th January 2017 members of the MGM group conducted a group visit to the new Saturday 5:30pm Noosaville Topic meeting. 10 home group members attended the meeting and are were made warmly welcomed by the Noosaville group members. Another great example of service in action, well done to all members that expressed a willingness to attend.
21st November members of the MGM group conducted a group visit to the Monday 7:30pm Tewantin Monday Night Group. 6 home group members attended the meeting and shared experience strength and hope with the Tewantin group members. Another great example of service in action, well done to all members that expressed a willingness to attend.
4th – 6th November 2016, 3 members of the MGM attended the Gold Coast Men’s Retreat weekend. A weekend of structured meetings and a focus on the 12 steps as outlined in the AA Basic Text book. Peter L. form Melbourne was invited to lead the group through the process over the informative and well run weekend. Well done to the guys on the Gold Coast for facilitating a great weekend.
5th October 2016 members of the MGM group conducted a group visit to the Valley Men’s Group Anniversary. 3 Car loads and one motorcycle attended the birthday meeting and enjoyed pizza before the meeting and a great meeting afterwards. All up 9 active group members were in attendance and shared in a great night.
22nd August 2016 members of our MGM group conducted a group visit to the Herston / Newfarm Monday night beginners meeting held at the HADS unit at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. 3 car loads of willing members attended the meeting with an overwhelming appreciation of the local members and hospital patients. Members shared on the way to the meeting, at the meeting and on the way home. A great night was had by all. Thanks to all that made the effort and demonstrated a willingness to go to any length.
